It's a First!

Here it is! Our first ever blog giveaway. We thought it was time we shared a little bit of Halfpenny Home with you, so we've carefully put together a little selection of goodies that we hope you'll like including pom pom trim, gingham bias binding, velvet ribbon, a selection of buttons and a fat quarter.

To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is leave us a comment on our blog between now and 31st July 2010. It's as simple as that! Good luck!
We can't quite believe it but next Saturday, 17th July, will see our second Vintage & Craft Fair take place at Halfpenny Home. It's on between 11am and 4pm. Amongst the stallholders, Scoffins will again have their yummy scones and muffins for sale and one of our regular Halfpenny Home visitors, Maria will also selling her lovely button jewellery - above is a picture of a pretty button ring that she has made, together with the beautiful cake box also made by Maria. Hope you can make it!

  3. We knew you'd all like the goodie bag! Don't worry Pam there are monthly fairs - 3rd Saturday of every month which are the same days as the Farmer's Markets at nearby Alder Carr Farm. You can go and get some lovely local produce from there 9 am - 1 pm then come over to us as we have local craftspeople selling their handmade wares from 11 am - 4 pm. We'll be running them until October, Nic x

  8. Hi Nicola, I'm so pleased you have got the blog up and running! I don't know if you remember me but I came in with my Mum (Rachel) some time back. (I make jewellery and the odd fascinator.) I would say 'I was the one that went quiet and slightly entranced at your gorgeous shop', but I guess this happens to everyone!! Mum sent me some of your brown dotty fabric, a blue feather and some red spotty buttons recently. It was a lovely reminder :) Hope to visit again soon x

  10. Hi Inspired: Scilly, of course I remember you! You like your tea - standard (milk no sugar)! How are you getting on with the hats? I'm glad you liked the goody bag, we had a lovely time choosing it all. Your mum is a very inspiring person and it's always lovely to see her at the studio. x
Hi Maria, your button ring is lovely and I've been flashing it off to people all over the place. I'm so glad that it has inspired you to create! Nic x

  11. I have lost the plot lately in many ways...not just blogging, but how could I resist this? I have used up all my blue bobbles and cherry fabric so winning this would come in very handy.xx

  17. Hi Nic, bobby here. Finally finished the bag last night, sorry it's taken so long but with B & B guests and cleaning my son's newly purchased home, I haven't had much free time since that lovely day I had with you and the other girls at Needham Market. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and thought your gem of a shop was a fantastic wonderland of goodies.
My problem now is that I have the photos of the bag but don't know how to send them to you as you don't have an email address. Any ideas?? Hope to come down again very soon, maybe a friend and I will try and make one of your Vintage and Craft Fairs.
    B x
